Oito.Atelier makes most of its ceramics using the potter's wheel.
The process is time consuming, delicate, but very beautiful, each imperfection is what makes each piece special.
The potter takes a piece of clay and places it on top of the wheel, pulling the clay and molding it to obtain the desired pattern. The execution time of each piece depends a lot on several factors, like the size of the piece, the model, if it has some type of finish, or if it even has wings; but on average the potter takes about 3 minutes to make each piece.
Once ready, it must dry, using an oven, and then it must be cooked in a gas oven at about 1200 degrees celsius; it is ready to be painted and after drying and packaging it goes to your homes.
